Teslo Reference 2014

    Teslo is an inventor, a scientist, a tinkerer. He's also a little scruffy fluffball who tries his best to maintain the 'dignified' look while failing horribly. He's just your average tuxedo cat as far as fur coloring goes, and he doesn't particularly have an eye for fashion. He usually thinks he looks fine, or never even thinks about his appearance! Teslo -more often than not- forgets to comb his fur, because of this his fur typically looks disheveled. However, even if he was to remember to groom himself regularly he would probably still appear fairly scruffy because his fur is just used to being that way!

 

.:CHARACTER:.

     Teslo was first created to be a fun character for me to goof around with. He was add into a (now dead) group called Genesis Carnivora, where I was really able to expand his character and give him a bit more personality and flavor. After the group died, I found the perfect place for him. I realized I could move him to a different universe I had already created! A world set in a steampunk-esque 1800s era with super advanced technology inhabited exclusively by anthromorphic animals. The same universe where a runaway Prince named Phillip was creating the very first servant robots under the apprenticeship of Dr. Carter Peaches... These robots today are known as “aniM.A.L's” and some of you may remember these from long long ago.

    In this world, Teslo works for an older rich woman, not quite royalty but very very high up in the food chain; if you will. He's been commissioned to create something grand, something new, somethin spectacular that nobody's ever seen before! ….For pretty much his entire life. He often breaks deadlines and is struck with inventor's block quite frequently. Teslo gets into trouble with his boss quite a lot more than he'd like to admit, but making up new inventions is hard! you have to understand science and stuff.... Teslo finds endless entertainment in taking things apart, making new things, he has contraptions a plenty in his home, his neighbors will often experience loud explosions or crashing sounds swiftly followed by cries of “A-ah, Ah-HA! IT WORKS!” etc.

  All in all, Teslo is a cheerful chappy who loves the outdoors just as much as he loves inventing new things and tinkering with the laws of physics, a man of nature, a man of science, and a friendly neighbor! He makes sure to make friends with everyone and tries not to hold himself up in his house for too long and makes a point to walk around the city at least once a week, making sure to catch up with his neighbors and chat like any normal person would do.

 

Teslo can be drawn in both regular anatomy and anthro anatomy, they're both correct! In his universe the animals can switch between the forms similar to the way they do in the studio ghibly film "the cat returns" 

Teslo is also the only character I have who is a tuxedo cat!
