Art Related

What progarm do you use to draw with?
I use GIMP 2.6 you can download it for free Here (Though they've updated the version to 2.8, its still pretty much the same program. )

What programs do you use to make your animations?
I use Pinnacle Studios and GIMP 2.6
Pinnacle is not free, but I wouldn't suggest going out to buy it yourself its kind of a crappy program, I've also used Windows Movie Maker before and its a really good program.

How do you make your animations?
Probably the hardest way possible! xDD
I draw each individual frame on gimp, save them, and throw them together in Pinnacle, it takes some time and sometimes freezes up my computer.

Is it true you draw with your COMPUTER MOUSE?
Yes its true! Though, its not because I cant afford a tablet!
I actually do own one, I just don't like it.
I've always enjoyed drawing with my mouse, and my brain can't exactly understand how to draw with a tablet anyway.

How long does it usually take you to draw something?
Usually about two hours!
Unless its a chibi or something like the drawing above, then it only takes about one.
Bigger pictures like my comic pages take at least three to four hours to complete though.
I've been told I'm a really fast artist! xD

Do you do requests/trades/comissions?
-Requests? Only if I'm feeling up for it, or there's a special occasion like a kiriban or a watcher appreciation count. If I do I'll make a journal announcing everyone to comment with ref sheets and I'll go through and pick the ones I like the most.
-Trades? Not usually! I find it extremely difficult to get art done for other people, so unless I ask you then its probably not going to happen.
-Comissions? As of right now I don't have omissions open, but I'm thinking about it! if I ever did open them up though, they'd be deviantart point exclusive because I lack a paypal or any other means of getting actual money xD

How long have you been drawing?
Surprisingly not very long! I didn't really get into it until about 2008 near when I began making my silly youtube videos, its only been about four years of dedicated drawing. I had never even picked up a pencil to begin 'seriously' trying until sometime that year.

Character Related

How many characters do you have?
Oh gosh, probably way too many to even count!
One time I wrote out all of the names for any of my characters I could name off the top of my head without repeats on a sheet of paper, and when I was done there were about 500 names on the list!

Where can I go to learn more about your characters?
I'm actually making a dedicated section to that! I just haven't finished it yet.
There's a folder in my gallery called the Original Character Directory and each picture in that folder is a different character! all you have to do is click on them to read the description and learn all about them! <3
its not finished yet so you can't find all of my characters there, but it'll be done soon!

Can Radio talk?
Not really, he only can imitate the sounds he hears, he doesn't have a voice of his own, so-to-speak. In my head I used to see him like making mashup versions of songs to get his point across, but its kind of evolved into using a popular song phrase in an attempt to answer a question with him.

What exactly IS Cody?
Cody is a human!
He's a character designed for a roleplay between myself and ~Pandaskeeper In that universe he's a human!

Alright so If he's a human, then why do you draw him as an Anthro?
Well, at the time that I made him I wasn't very good at drawing humans, (Though I can do it now a little bit, I probably wont draw him as a human in that style anytime soon) So I drew him as a cat at first to express my love for him!
Eventually he evolved into an anthro instead, to make it more accurate to his true form.
Actually the first drawing of him ever in my gallery is my attempt at drawing a human. Though, if I was you I woudn't try to go find it or look at it, it might kill you.

Wait, I'm confused, you draw Phoenix as a human and as an animal too, is he actually a human like Cody?
No no no, Phoenix is a different story altogether. In his case, he has two different versions of himself that are similar, but belong in completely different universes.
Basically what I did was take his character and modify it to make a second character with the same name and personality traits, just one is an animal and one is a human. So sorry for the confusion!
Though a lot of my characters do have alternate human forms that are used in different universes

Ah, glad you caught that!
Misty isn't actually my character you see. The story that they take place in was written between myself and ~Pandaskeeper So Misty is one of her characters!
Though you are correct and she is actually a human as well.

How did you come up with _____?
in most cases, the way I come up with something is usually a stroke of luck that an idea suddenly bursts into my brain and I need to do something with it, or I'm filling in a gap where I needed it.
Some examples would be that Radio was a stroke of idea, where as Purrl was more like filling in a gap since I needed a fursona as something to represent myself.

Where can I ask your characters questions?
Well, you can't right now! I have a lot of backup work to do on the drawing answers thing, but once I open it up again for questioning I'll be sure to make a specific place that's open all the time that I can surf through whenever I decide to start answering questions like that again ^w^

What should I refer to you as?
Call me Purrl! Purrlstar seems so formal, so just shorten it to Purrl ^w^ <3

How old are you?
I'm 18!

When's your birthday?
Its sometime in November if you watch me then you'll get a notification in your inbox a week in advance, how convenient!
Plus I usually like to remind you all in a journal or something when the special day is arriving soon.

What inspires you?
Mostly Music!
And nature!
Also things that other people do that I find so creative! <3
Like webcomics or art, usually all sorts of creative things like that.

What made you pick your username?
Lots of things actually! My username has a ton of meaning to it that I'm not sure a lot of people notice.
Purrl, is obviously a pun.
Purr like a cat, add an L and it sounds like the word PEARL which is how you pronounce it!
It hints at the fact that I enjoy Animal Crossing too, because there is indeed a character named that.
(though I didn't steal the name because I didn't know about that character until after I thought of the idea xD )

Purrl also subtly refers to my own first name!
My first name is spelled much differently than how its usually spelled, but if you hear the name spoken you aren't the wiser.

The Star half has a lot of meanings as well, Firstly being that I used to love the book series Warriors by Erin Hunter (which I'm sure everybody knows of by now so I wont explain it)
Along with giving myself a leadership role ending, I also did it to show that I am a firstborn in my family, and am often told I was born to lead.
Thirdly I also absolutely adore outer space, and stars exist in the universe, so why not! xD

altogether I think its a fantastic username so I use it everywhere I go, if you're looking to find me on YouTube, Tumblr, Neopets, Minecraft, any other website that I may exist on, then that would be the username I would use!
(the only exception being Transformice, I use the name Vaporia on there because Purrlstar didn't seem to fit. Though I do own that account I just don't use it as my main.)

Why does Purrl only have one wing?
That's a tricky question, I ripped the other one off for personal reasons that I'd rather not like to talk about, But its also a REALLY cool character flaw if you ask me ;D

Project Related

When will Rise of The Star come out? I'm DYING to see it! D:
Well... That issue is complicated and I'd rather not get into it. But for now the project is on hold and I doubt I'll be getting to it anytime soon.

When do Celestial Soul pages come out?
Every Saturday!
Though, Saturday for me may not be Saturday for you if you live somewhere far
away from the USA.
I try to be somewhat regular with my updates, but sometimes things happen and I have to skip a few weeks.
I'll try my best to make it up to you guys though, Promise!

When do you make new animations? Your YouTube page is rather silent.
Whenever I feel like it, honestly. or whenever inspiration for a specific thing hits me.
I'm really not as active on there as I used to be, I find much more enjoyment out of drawing one picture than a bazillion of the same thing over and over. If you know what I'm saying.
