Ashenheart

A couple of weeks ago I had this image in my mind and I just REALLY wanted to draw it out!!

Its full of symbolism for Ashenpaw and the guardie fight and I just, I really had a lot of fun working on this. 

basically, when he struck the guardian's heart he did a very important thing. He not only landed the killing blow thanks to the countless other members of Safe Haven who helped out in that fight along with him, but he earned 'an unknown special ability' 
I'm sure the rest of the cats who struck the guardian earned it as well, but it really stuck with me. 

Thinking back to his little banter with the Helions during his assessment with Hopflight, how they called him "AshenHeart" as an insult, saying his core was rotten and he was just like they were. But here, Ashen... The guardian's heart... They're more connected than we were lead to believe. 
I don't know what kind of magical construct the guardian was but it certainly wasn't fueld by light auma, and Ashenpaw could tell that. I feel like he's going to be incredibly significant to the plot in the future and I just wanted to sort of capture that intrigue while still honoring his sacrifice. 

The lil' guy has been through so much and he deserves this



I also recorded drawing this and might be able to make a speedpaint? it won't be for a while though becasue the second half of the footage corrupted so I might only have half a speedpaint or maybe the whole thing if I can un-corrupt the recording, we'll see!
